Borinqueneer Congressional Gold Medal Presentation PFC Modesto Cintron-Pagan

On Nov 8, 2020 Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to Korean War veteran Borinqueneer PFC Modesto Cintron-Pagan of Santurce P.R. who was declared Missing Action on Sept 24, 1952 and declared dead on December 31, 1953. At the time PFC Cintron served with the 65th Infantry Regiment and was in Company K, during the Battle of OutPost Kelly Hill 391 or Kelly Hill as they called it

His company was overran by the Chinese Communist and suffered many casualties and had over 64 MIA’s.

Here we presented his nephew Pedro Chiclana Fernandez with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation, who was at the American Legion Post 66 in San Juan, PR along with Post 66 members Carmen Rosario & Osorio, Commandante Arroyo of Post 42 Utuado.

PFC Cintron-Pagan was Inducted into the U.S. Army in 1951, He trained at Ft Buchanon

He served with 3rd Battalion 65th Infantry Regiment Company K and participated in 2 battle campaigns in Korea;

Second Korean Winter 1951-1952

Korean Summer-Fall 1952

We presented him with his Korea Service Medals and his Purple Heart �� along with his Ambassador for Peace Medal

His Decorations are as follows;

Good Conduct Medal

National Defense Medal

Korean Service Medal w 2 Bronze Stars

United Nations Service Medal- Korea

Korean Defense Service Medal

Combat Infantry Badge

Purple Heart

Ambassador for Peace Medal

and now his Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal

On Nov 1, 2020 Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to Korean War veteran Borinqueneer SFC Pascual Quinones-Leon of Cataño P.R.

Here we presented his son Fernando of Pascual Quinones along with his brother Pascual JR & sister and the rest of the Quinones-Leon Family with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation

SFC Quinones was Inducted into the U.S. Army on Jan 21, 1941, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panal Canal with the 65th Infantry Regiment

He Retired in Jan 1961

SFC Pascual Quinones served in WWII and the Korean War.

He served with 1 Battalion 65th Infantry Regiment Company C and Service Company and participated in 4 battle campaigns in Korea;

Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to Korean War veteran                                          Borinqueneer PFC Pedro Guzman-Ortiz

Here we presented his son Pedro J. Guzman of Staley, NC along with his brother Jose, sisters Myrna Guzman, Marta & Yolanda Zayas and his mother Marta Zayas family with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation

PFC Guzman was Inducted into the U.S. Army on June 14, 1951, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panal Canal with the 33rd Infantry Regiment before being assigned to the 65th.

PFC Pedro Guzman served in the Korean War.

He served with 3BN 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 2 battle campaigns in Korea;

Here we presented his son Retired MSG Victor Guzman of Chester, VA along with his sisters and his family with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation

SGT Guzman was Inducted into the U.S. Army on December 8, 1944, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panal Canal

SGT Ernesto Guzman served in World War II and the Korean War.

He served with HQ & HQ Company 2BN 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 2 battle campaigns in Korea;

Here we presented his son Chris & mother Patty of Gainesville GA and their family with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation

PFC John C. Truelove was Inducted into the U.S. Army on September 1952, He trained at Ft Beckinridge KY

CPL John C. Truelove served in the Korean War from 1952-53

He served with Charlie Company 1BN 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 2 battle campaigns in Korea;

Korean Spring-Summer 1953

Also with the UN Peacekeeping Security Force

SGT Arcadio Torres-Torres was Inducted into the U.S. Army on November 22, 1950, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panama Canal

SGT Arcadio Torres-Torres served in the Korean War Grom 1951-52

He served with Medical Company 2BN 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 4 battle campaigns in Korea;

They were also presented with the Ambassador for Peace Medal Posthumously

 

SSG Leonardo Quinones-Diaz Inducted into the U.S. Army on April 18, 1944, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panama Canal

 

SSG Leonardo Quinones-Diaz was a WWII, Korean, Vietnam War Veteran...

 

He served in WWII with Company E 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 4 of the the North African/ Mediterranean Theatre Campaigns

SFC Joseph A. Downing served in Korean from Spring of 1952- July 1953 with the 65th Infantry Regiment Company HQ & HQ Company.

On July 28, 2020 Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to Korean War veteran Borinqueneer CPL Leopoldo Badillo-Gonzalez

 

Here we presented him with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal, due to his health and just being released from the hospital we weren't able to officially present the medal and he also received his Ambassador for Peace Medal

 

CPL Leopoldo Badillo-Gonzalez was inducted in Jan 1952 from Isabela, Puerto Rico was in the U.S. Army and trained at Fort Buchanan, PR

In Korea he served with Company B of the 65th Infantry Regiment from 1952-53

 

He participated in 2 Campaigns in a Korea

PFC Felix Rodriguez-Ruiz was inducted in Sep 1950 from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico was in the U.S. Army and trained at Fort Buchanan, PR

 

In Korea he served with Company K of the 65th Infantry Regiment from 1951-52

 

He participated in 2 Campaigns in a Korea
