On Nov 8, 2020 Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to Korean War veteran Borinqueneer PFC Modesto Cintron-Pagan of Santurce P.R. who was declared Missing Action on Sept 24, 1952 and declared dead on December 31, 1953. At the time PFC Cintron served with the 65th Infantry Regiment and was in Company K, during the Battle of OutPost Kelly Hill 391 or Kelly Hill as they called it
His company was overran by the Chinese Communist and suffered many casualties and had over 64 MIA’s.
Here we presented his nephew Pedro Chiclana Fernandez with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation, who was at the American Legion Post 66 in San Juan, PR along with Post 66 members Carmen Rosario & Osorio, Commandante Arroyo of Post 42 Utuado.
PFC Cintron-Pagan was Inducted into the U.S. Army in 1951, He trained at Ft Buchanon
He served with 3rd Battalion 65th Infantry Regiment Company K and participated in 2 battle campaigns in Korea;

We presented him with his Korea Service Medals and his Purple Heart �� along with his Ambassador for Peace Medal

Here we presented his son Fernando of Pascual Quinones along with his brother Pascual JR & sister and the rest of the Quinones-Leon Family with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation
SFC Quinones was Inducted into the U.S. Army on Jan 21, 1941, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panal Canal with the 65th Infantry Regiment
He Retired in Jan 1961
SFC Pascual Quinones served in WWII and the Korean War.
He served with 1 Battalion 65th Infantry Regiment Company C and Service Company and participated in 4 battle campaigns in Korea;

Here we presented his son Pedro J. Guzman of Staley, NC along with his brother Jose, sisters Myrna Guzman, Marta & Yolanda Zayas and his mother Marta Zayas family with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation
PFC Guzman was Inducted into the U.S. Army on June 14, 1951, He trained at Ft Buchanon and at the Panal Canal with the 33rd Infantry Regiment before being assigned to the 65th.
PFC Pedro Guzman served in the Korean War.
He served with 3BN 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 2 battle campaigns in Korea;

Here we presented him with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal, due to his health and just being released from the hospital we weren't able to officially present the medal and he also received his Ambassador for Peace Medal
