On Dec 13, 2020 Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to WWII & Korean War veteran Borinqueneer SFC Belford Oms-Martinez Maricao, P.R. SFC Oms served with the 65th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion in Korea.
Here we presented his son Nelson Oms with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation.
SFC Belford Oms-Martinez was Inducted into the U.S. Army in May 1944, He trained at Ft Buchanon, Panama Canal & Camp Losey
He served with 3rd Battalion 65th Infantry Regiment and participated in 3 Battle Campaigns in WWII and 4 battle campaigns in Korea;
Europe-Africa-Central Eurpoe Rome-Arno Rhineland
