Borinqueneer Congressional Gold Medal Presentation SFC Pedro Rivera-Reyes

On today Dec 6, 2020 Our organization the 65th Infantry Regiment MA continues to Honor and give Recognition to Korean War veteran Borinqueneer SFC Pedro Rivera-Reyes of Coamo, P.R. SFC Rivera served with the 65th Infantry Regiment 1st Battalion and was in Company C, during the Korean War

Here we presented his son Alex Rivera Pedro with the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Posthumously by Virtual Presentation.

SFC Pedro Rivera-Reyes was Inducted into the U.S. Army in 1950, He trained at Ft Buchanon

He served with 1st Battalion 65th Infantry Regiment Company C and participated in 4 battle campaigns in Korea;

1st UN Counter Offensive Jan-April 1951

CCF Spring Offensive May-July 1951

UN Summer-Fall 1951

Second Korean Winter 1951-1952

His Decorations are as follows;

Good Conduct Medal

National Defense Medal

Korean Service Medal w 2 Bronze Stars

United Nations Service Medal- Korea

Korean Defense Service Medal

Combat Infantry Badge

and now his Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal
